It creates working conditions for the Minister to fulfil his/her tasks, ensures the comprehensive organizational exercise of the Minister’s constitutional powers and coordinates cooperation with other departments and State organisational units. It coordinates and operates the file service for the Minister. It is responsible for the contact between the Ministry and the Parliament, the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic, the Office of the President of the Republic and other bodies and institutions. It checks the prepared documents for the meeting of the Government, the Parliament, the Ministry Management Meeting, and other meetings. It is administratively and organizationally responsible for the fulfilment of the tasks of the Minister as a member of the Government in cooperation with the independent unit of the Cabinet and Secretariat of the Minister. It organises and ensures the administration of the activities of the Ministry Management Meeting as the permanent advisory body of the Minister. It acts as an independent unit concerning advisory work for the Minister on professional issues and coordinates the activities of external specialists. It provides for official, working and private visits of foreign representatives, organises the reception of the visitors to the Minister and participates in the preparation of documents for these visits in cooperation with the independent unit of the Cabinet and Secretariat of the Minister. It provides for protocol activities and interpreting for the needs of the Ministry. It provides for the contact between the Ministry and the public/media and is responsible for the Ministry’s internal communication. It is responsible for the overall content, structure and communication strategy of the Ministry’s website and Intranet; it publishes the statements of the Minister and the Ministry on these pages. It organises press conferences of the Ministry. It provides for the organization and administration of the Editorial Board. It organises, coordinates and provides information in accordance with Act No 106/1999. It organises and administers the activities of the Committee for Administrative Proceedings in relation to appeals filed against decisions of the Ministry in matters of providing information pursuant to Act No 106/1999.
