This department creates the necessary working conditions to enable the Ministry to carry out its tasks, organises all aspects of the exercising of the Minister’s constitutional powers and coordinates cooperation with other units and state organisational units. It coordinates and provides filing services for the Minister. It mediates contact between the Ministry and Parliament, Government Office of the Czech Republic, the Presidential Office and with other bodies and institutions. It checks the documents prepared for meetings of the Government, Parliament, ministerial management meetings and other such sessions. It carries out the administrative and organisational work involved in the Minister’s tasks as a member of the government in collaboration with the independent unit of the Cabinet and Secretariat of the Minister. It organises and handles the administration for ministerial management meetings as a permanent advisory body to the Minister.  It performs expert analyses. It acts as a collection unit in consultation work for the Minister concerning professional problems and coordinates the activities of external specialists. It arranges official, business and private visits by foreign dignitaries, welcomes visits to the Minister and is involved in organising the preparation of the necessary documents for these visits together with the independent unit of the Cabinet and Secretariat of the Minister. It provides protocol and interpreting services for the Ministry. It mediates contact between the Ministry and the public and media and is responsible for internal communication within the Ministry. It is responsible for the overall content, structure and communication of strategies for the internet, intranet and departmental websites of the Ministry; it publishes the current opinions of the Minister and the Ministry on these sites. It is in charge of organising ministerial press conferences. It carries out the administrative and organisational aspects of the work of the Editorial Board. It organises, coordinates and provides information pursuant to Act No 106/1999 Coll. It carries out the administrative and organisational work of the committee for administrative proceedings concerning appeals filed against ministerial decisions issued in cases of information provided pursuant to Act No 106/1999 Coll. It prepares internal regulations within the scope of its competence.
