The department organises and carries out the work and services essential for the operation of the Ministry. It manages the buildings and property used by the Ministry for its activities, including construction and energy management. It covers creation and performance of the Ministry's state energy conception, including departmental organisation, and provides comprehensive coordination of standpoints for the Ministry in this area. It carries out work associated with the functioning of the administrative archive. It houses certain departments outside the Ministry's main buildings. It prepares the supporting documentation for selection procedures within the scope of its responsibilities, when required. It manages the property owned by the Czech Republic (a part of which is management of the Ministry) with the exception of property that is administrated by the Restitutions Department.
