The department covers the organisation and coordination of the Minister’s work by producing a weekly schedule for the Minister, handling the protocol and administration of the Minister’s constitutional powers and official, working and private visits by representatives of other countries, organising and managing the Minister’s consultations and the work of other advisory bodies headed by the Minister, keeping records of the Minister’s replies to personal invitations and letters according to his instructions, organising the reception of visits to the Minister, and contributing to organisational work for the production of documents. It covers relations between the Ministry and Parliament, the Office of the Government and other Government bodies, as well as relations between the Ministry and the public and the media, and it is responsible for internal communications with the Ministry. It is responsible for the entire content and structure of the Ministry’s website. It covers organisational and administrative aspects of the Editorial Board. It organises and coordinates the handling of complaints and petitions in accordance with the relevant legislation. It organises and coordinates the provision of information pursuant to the Act on Free Access to Information. It covers the organisational and administrative aspects of Ministry Management Council, which is the Minister’s standing advisory body; it produces minutes from its meetings and records and controls the implementation of the conclusions adopted. It covers the work of the National Coordinator for the introduction of the euro and the work of the National Coordination Group on the basis of Government Resolution No. 1510 of 23 November 2005, which makes the Ministry the main coordinator for preparations for the introduction of the euro, and Government Resolution No. 972 of 16 August 2006, which obliges members of the Government and the heads of the other central administrative authorities to ensure their institutions are prepared for effective communication and cooperation on preparations to introduce the euro in the Czech Republic. It coordinates the overall practical preparations to introduce the euro in the Czech Republic, and acts as the National Coordination Group’s Organisational Committee.
